Australia Energy Academy

Privacy notice

This notice explains the current platform features operated by OOHENERGY PTY LTD, ABN 68 647 867 776. You can read lessons and take quizzes without signing in.

Information stored on your device

Quiz passes, unfinished quiz choices, question order and position, and your last topic, route and study tab are stored in your browser’s local storage. Drafts are not passes; choices are sent for scoring only when you submit. They are not an identity-verified qualification and do not synchronise across devices. You can remove them using your browser’s site-data settings; doing so resets local progress.

Apply it working notes are saved in this browser when local storage is available; they do not sync to your account. Other practice inputs and the test feedback worksheet remain in the current page unless explicitly stated. These drafts are not submitted to our server. Download a copy before clearing browser data or changing devices, and review it before sharing.

Signing in and saving notes

Optional sign-in uses ChatGPT authentication. The platform receives authenticated account identifiers and may receive your account email to check access. You do not enter your ChatGPT password into the academy.

When you select Save notes, the text, topic, account identifier, revision and save time are stored in the platform database so your account can retrieve and edit those notes. They are not published to other learners. Unsaved text can be lost when you leave.

Do not put sensitive personal information, passwords or confidential workplace data into notes. There is no automatic notes-expiry schedule or self-service account-data deletion feature in this test edition. Editing a note does not establish that earlier infrastructure copies have been erased.

Feedback reports

The contact form stores the report category, optional page reference, message, submission and update times, status and Academy reply in the platform database. No name, email or sign-in is required. Reports are available to the designated administrator and to anyone holding the complete private report link. The link key is stored as a hash; keep your copy safe, as anonymous links cannot be recovered for you.

For abuse prevention, the server uses a daily keyed hash of the network address and a submission counter. The feedback database does not store the raw address. These counters expire after two days and are cleared when later submissions are processed. Hosting services may retain separate security logs.

Reports are retained for manual review; no automatic report-deletion schedule is currently configured. You may request review or deletion through the form. Do not include sensitive personal information. Replies appear at the private link; there are no email notifications. The separate downloadable feedback worksheet remains local unless you paste its contents into a submitted report.

Hosting and external resources

The site runs on Sites hosting using Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting and authentication services may process technical request and security information needed to deliver the service. This notice does not promise Australian-only data residency or a specific infrastructure-log retention period; those arrangements remain to be confirmed for commercial launch.

Playing an embedded video or opening an external resource connects you to that provider, which may receive your IP address and browser information and apply its own cookies and privacy terms. Review the provider’s notice before using it. See Google’s privacy policy for YouTube and OpenAI’s privacy policy for ChatGPT services.

Questions, corrections and deletion requests

Send a report through our private feedback form. Save your private link to read the response; no email notification is sent. Use Contact and feedback for privacy questions, corrections and deletion requests. Do not upload identity documents or confidential information. Requests that affect account records require identity and scope checks before action.

Documented retention arrangements are still being prepared. If you need those arrangements confirmed first, use the course without signing in or saving notes. For general information about privacy rights and complaint options, visit the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
