Diagnose a connection bottleneck
A connection assessment tests the plant in its network context. Power flow, stability, system strength and performance standards answer different questions. A technically connected plant may still face operational constraints and curtailment.

Working relationship
Export capability = minimum of applicable plant and network limits
What to keep separate
Do not infer unconstrained market access from a signed connection agreement.
Your task
Create a constraints register separating connection conditions from market-dispatch constraints and planned outages.

Key terms in plain English
- MW
- Megawatt: a measure of power, or how quickly energy is transferred. A plant's maximum MW is not its actual output in every interval.
- Curtailment
- A reduction in generation below what could otherwise have been produced. Network limits, system security and commercial decisions can have different causes.
